How do I change who can see classes?

Before a user can access pupils within classes an AdKlass administrator needs to configure which classes the user/teacher is able to view.

If a user grades a group/set comprising of pupils from a selection of classes then the user’s account must have access to all of the classes from which the pupils are taken even if they are not required to access all the pupils from each of the classes.

When logged in as an administrator click on the Admin button to show the school’s Admin page:

Browser_admin_button_selected_s

Click on either the name of the user/teacher to whom you want to make a class visible or the name of the class that you want to change the visibility of:

Select_user_or_class

Users/Teachers

If you clicked on a name in the Users / Teachers section you will see four sections: General Details, User Rights, Subjects and Groups. The Groups section contains a list of all classes defined in AdKlass—tick the check box next to the class you wish the user/teacher to have access to:

Select_class

Click on the Set groups button to save the change to the system. The selected User / Teacher will now be able to see the class(es) you selected.

Classes and Groups

If you clicked on a name in the Classes and Groups section you will see two sections: a list of Pupils in the group and a list of Teachers known to AdKlass. Tick the check box(es) next to the Teacher(s) you would like to be able to see the class:

Select_teacher

Click on the Save button to save the changes to the system and allow the selected teacher(s) to see the class.
